Halloween - The holiday which will let your imagination run wild! When it comes to decorating your home, there are tons of things you can do by yourself and save money. Inspiration is a bit hard to come - but we will give you a helping hand. Check out these tips for simple holiday decorations anyone can make!
1. Flying Bats & Ghosts
Get some black paper (use a bit thicker paper but not cardboard) and simply cut out your bats. It's very easy to do - it only takes time. Fold the paper in half and mark your outline of the half of the bat. It will save up your time and your bats will come up with two identical halves every time!
For making ghosts, you can use cotton pads. Just cut out the pads in little ghost shapes and add the eyes. It's simple to hang them around the house and they look very cute!
2. Ghost Jugs
Save up your old milk jugs! You can later turn them into scary ghosts by just drawing a scary face on them. The last step is to put some christmas lights inside and you are done! It's best to use the ones with batteries, as you will be able to place your ghosts wherever you want. If you can't push the lights through the top opening of the milk jugs, make a hole on the backside of the jug. It won't be noticeable but it will make your job much easier.
3. Halloween Ornaments
If you have some old Christmas decorations you don't plan on using anymore, it will be a good idea to make new halloween decorations out of them! All you will need is some glue, paper, paint and maybe some strings. You can easily turn christmas bulbs into pumpkins with some paper, glue and paint!
4. Carving Or Painting Pumpkins
The old one - but a good one! You can make oumpinks stand out by painting them completely white! These will never go out of fashion so don't forget about them.
5. The Mummy Door
This is one of the easiest decorations you can make. The only things you will need is toilet paper and colored tape. Painting tape is recommended as this won't ruin your walls or doors. Create eyes before you start putting toilet paper on your doors. Then, just stick toilet paper straps on your door until you cover the surface and your door mummy is complete!
